Sarah Simpson, from Valencia, California, is a Medill senior focusing in Broadcast Journalism with a double major in Political Science. She has spent the past few months as part of the Medill Innocence Project investigating a wrongful conviction case in Gary, Indiana. Last year, Sarah worked at The Orange County Register in California as the associate producer and post-production supervisor for their daily Web television show, "The Juice," as well as a general assignment video reporter for the Register's Web site. She also completed a summer internship with the Political Director at MSNBC.com in Washington, DC, where she discovered her passion for political journalism.
