Lauren E. Bohn is a reporter for the Medill News Service. She has previously worked as an intern at Time Magazine, where she wrote for time.com. She has also interned at CNN, CBS News in New York and Cosmopolitan Magazine. As a New York University Dean’s Scholar, she has attended research colloquiums in Ghana and Greece. Bohn also spent four months studying sociology and gender studies in Prague, Czech Republic. She graduated summa cum laude from New York University in May 2009 as a recipient of the John W. Withers Memorial Award, with a degree in Media, Culture, and Communication. She is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, where she was named an Archdiocesan scholar and a Champion of Caring for her work in the Dominican Republic and Appalachia. She will receive her master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism in June 2010.
