Janelle is a recent transplant from the Southwest, splitting her time
between Phoenix, Las Vegas and Malibu. While studying abroad in
Germany, she traveled western Europe and fell in love with the food and
culture of each country. After graduation, Janelle worked in product
and team marketing for five years, but always kept her love of writing
on the side burner. She intends to use her Medill education to pursue
a position as a magazine columnist for a food or lifestyle magazine.
Janelle currently spends most her time in the kitchen, creating and
testing recipes. Her recipes and reviews have been featured on Time
Magazine and Gourmet Magazine award-winning blogs. To take a break from
the kitchen, Janelle enjoys photography, running and doing CrossFit.
