Jeannie spent 8 years working in television news as a reporter and anchor in various markets around the country. In 2009, she left the news biz and decided to focus on writing, which is what brought her to Medill. She is currently a health and sciences reporter for Medill News Service.

In her "free" time she works as a writer for WBBM-AM and as a freelance publicist for Elm PR.
