Veronica Smith is the Public Health reporter for the Medill News Service in Chicago.

She is a recent graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta,GA majoring in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. She interned for a year at The Atlanta Inquirer newspaper as an editorial intern where she was published. 

She is a Northwestern University Medill graduate student concentrating in broadcast reporting.
