Jeremy Gantz
xanadu.gantz@gmail.com

Jeremy Gantz is originally from Plymouth, Massachusetts, home of America's most underwhelming rock. A political junkie for longer than he'd like to remember, he is currently Medill News Service's war and national security reporter in Washington D.C.

After graduating from Carleton College in Minnesota in 2004, Jeremy lived in Sri Lanka for one year on a Fulbright scholarship to research the connections betwen the island's educational system and ongoing ethnic conflict.

After falling in love with journalism while interviewing students, teachers and principals in Sri Lanka, he moved back to Massachusetts and worked as the Wareham Courier's only reporter for most of 2006. He reported for the Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh earlier this year and will graduate from the Medill School of Journalism in March 2008.

He hopes to someday return to Asia as a journalist.
