About ready to give up on your New Year's resolution to exercise?  Blame your boring gym routine.

Lucky for you, Chicago is home to an array of unique fitness opportunities.  Here are four classes that are way more fun than running on a treadmill - but just as good of a workout, if not better.

Hula Dancing
Ohana Entertainment
Classes are held at Flamenco Arts Center, 3755 N. Western

Taught by members of a professional dance group, hula really works the legs and tones the abs in a graceful and fun workout.

Kung Fu
HealthKick Kung Fu
Classes are held at Wells Street Athletic Club, 1513 N. Wells

A traditional Chinese martial art, kung fu focuses on physical movement and mental concentration while providing a full-body workout.

Cardio Striptease
All About Dance
Classes are held at All About Dance, 2214 N. Clark

As the studio's most popular class, cardio striptease keeps participants in constant motion and teaches them dance routines that tone the entire body.

Hula Hooping
HooperPower
Classes are held at Chang's Martial Arts, 1534 N. Milwaukee

Using the same hoops that you might have played with as a kid, hooping is guaranteed to put a smile on your face while you try out different tricks and keep the hoop spinning.
