‘Sustainability science’ seeks to preserve food, water and energy on a beleaguered planet

The interdisciplinary field of sustainability science is launching classes at colleges across America to deal with climate change and address the world's needs for clean energy and healthier lives. Experts spelled out the needs at the recent meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Chicago.
