Jerry the Bear can simulate diabetic symptoms and tell users when he feels better.
Diabetes can be scary for children and parents learning to deal with treatments for the first time. A team of Northwestern University students working with the Design for America project envisioned a new way to confront those hurdles with Jerry the Bear, a talking, insulin-taking teddy bear.
