What's brewing this St. Patrick's Day at Goose Island's Clybourn Brewpub?
Before you toast all things Irish on Saturday, consider the science in creating that Guinness in your glass. Chicago-based breweries work year-round to craft blends of yeast, hops, barley and malt for beer for every season. Goose Island Beer Co., which has two brewpubs in Chicago, hosts “Stoutfest” with 22 other local breweries, at the Goose's Clybourn Avenue location Saturday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. "Stoutfest" is sold out but the brewery and pub are open for beers and eats.
Whether you want to learn more about beer-making, take classes in the art of brewing or sit back and sip a brew at the bar, Chicago is bursting with microbreweries that will urge you to learn and indulge on St. Patrick’s Day, or any time of year.
