Faison Allen, 22, was shot five times in front of an apartment complex.  After extensive abdominal surgery to repair internal damage from the shooting, Allen has recuperated at the Interfaith House, a nonprofit that allows homeless people to recover from illnesses and injuries.

A victim of street violence, an elderly man recovering from hip replacement surgery and a man dealing with anxiety are all recovering from medical treatment at the Interfaith House, a nonprofit that offers respite for homeless Chicagoans on the West Side.  Patients discuss their injuries, their treatments and the value of having a place to recuperate.
