The No Child Left Behind conference in Chicago brought teachers, administrators and advocacy groups together as the federal program enters its 9th year. The primary mission of the conference was to let attendees network and learn new skills in order to make the state’s education system better. But talk in the hallways was dominated by a big local education issue: the proposed school closings in Chicago.
