Some Chicagoans praise pope’s humility, question his conservatism
People around the world followed the news from the Vatican, but students at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School are excited about the new appointment. Pope Francis is a man of firsts for the Catholic Church--the first Jesuit and the first South American pope. The Chicago students said they think he will be able to relate to issues that are personal to them: their religion, the Latin American community and immigration.
