Church and health network join forces against breast cancer
A faith-based approach is an effective method of raising awareness
about this insidious disease among African-American and Hispanic women,
health workers say. An informative session at the Monumental Baptist
Church on the South Side included a workshop by the ACCESS Community
Health Network's "Pin-A-Sister" program, testimonies of survivors, games
and a Zumba session.
