The Chicago Streets for Cycling Plan 2020 laid out by Mayor Rahm Emanuel envisions the Windy City as a world-class biking metropolis.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is calling for Chicago to expand the length of its bike lanes and paths from 170 miles to more than 600 miles by 2020. The expansion will likely help alleviate congested roadways that can lead to more dangerous travel for drivers and bicyclists alike.
