The City Council passed a bill to reward $100 to anyone who reports, with evidence, illegal dumping of garbage on streets, and private/public properties. The request was brought forward by 28th ward alderman Jason Ervin. He said he was tired of seeing garbage being dumped all over in his ward and wanted to do something about it.
