Gun control has been the hottest issue in the 2nd Congressional District special election to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr.. Candidates Robin Kelly and state Sen. Toi Hutchinson have both called sharp attention to frontrunner Debbie Halvorson's "A" rating from the NRA and opposition to a national assault weapons ban. Halvorson had an opportunity to hit back during a debate Wednesday night at Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields -- and hit back she did.
