Veterans seek jobs despite troubling unemployment numbers
by Meghan Anne Bunchman
Last year, there was a 20 percent unemployment rate for veterans between the ages of 18-24. Veterans struggling to make a living are welcome to attend the NAACP Diversity Career Fair. The fair is free and open to all level job seekers. New to this year’s fair will be special promotions and job opportunities for veterans, as well as the opportunity to meet with financial experts to discuss issues like credit repair, homeownership and wealth building.
