A homebrewing class in the south side of Chicago attracted novices from Indiana
The rise of microbreweries in the U.S. has many Chicagoans interested in brewing their own beer according to Jeff Fisher, owner of Bev Art Brewer & Winemaker Supply. The recession may also be forcing many to consider brewing at home. Nevertheless, many who brew say while one stands to save by adopting a do-it-yourself attitude, the joy of tasting a finished product knowing you made it may be the ultimate motivation.
