WASHINGTON -- The political conventions are the biggest parties in politics. But who foots the bill while the Parties party? The answer may surprise you.
A recent report by the Campaign Finance Institute found that much of the funding comes from corporations which also spend millions lobbying the federal government.
Some critics worry that this could create the potential for and appearance of corruption--but Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty does not agree.
