There are many stories in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, but some are only recently being spoken and heard. Through a program at Yollocalli Arts Reach, two LGBTQ+ students are telling their stories — and the stories of their community — on a weekly radio show.

The show — which varies in topic each week — is part of Yollocalli’s mission to develop Latinx youth art and culture through programs in drawing and painting, public performance, blogging and more. The group provides equal access to resources that encourage young people to become more creative and engaged citizens in their community.
