When Netflix users experienced outages Tuesday evening they turned to Twitter to make their own live stream drama.

Netflix representatives did not respond to a request for comment this afternoon, but told The Hollywood Reporter that the outage started in South America around 3:40 p.m.

Tweets about the outage trended for hours, including posts from snowed in North American customers who were ready to enjoy a laid back evening. Some customers were especially upset when Netflix crashed near the climax of their favorite show.

Netflix said they are still investigating what caused the outage. Users were still tweeting about outages into Wednesday evening.
