St. Francis de Sales high school<\/span><\/a> received a donation of the Black Lives Matter murals for the school’s library and media center and placed them on the second floor. Rabbi Michael Ben Yosef and artist\u00a0 Shannon Evans created the murals in October near Millennium Park to honor the anniversary of the 2005 death of Rosa Parks. Parks launched the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott and helped initiate the Civil Rights Movement when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a bus after a long day of work in 1955.\u00a0 Thousands joined in the non-violent boycott that won Blacks open seating on the buses with a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in a key early victory of the civil rights era. In their permanent home at the school, the murals make the media center \u201calive again,\u201d said Principal Roni Facens.
