Consumer sentiment strong in April

By Sara Shouhayib Low interest rates and better job prospects boosted consumer sentiment in April according to a survey by the University of Michigan. The consumer sentiment index for April rose to 95.9 from 93.0 in March. The final reading was unchanged from the preliminary index that was released in early April.
