Outside of Greece, Chicago is home to one the densest concentrations of Greeks in the world, many of whom have personal and business connections to the financially troubled country. The world’s eyes are on Greece and a few voices from Chicago’s Greektown related that they are hopeful and believe in the strength of the ancient and resilient culture.

Greece is in a deepening economic downfall and is expected to make a major decision that could mean the end to the country’s connection to the European Union this weekend.
