Cars & caring: Helping the homeless at the Chicago Auto Show

By Chris Hayre

The Chicago Auto Show is known for its flashy exhibits and futuristic cars, but it’s also a place that each year collects tons of canned food for the homeless and hungry in Chicago.

From now until Friday, adult attendees can bring in three cans of food and receive a coupon for $5 off their ticket. The food is collected by A Safe Haven Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting homelessness.
