The Chicago Riverwalk is reeling in visitors with its renovations.

The new developments are not complete, but several parts are open to the public and attracting large crowds during the lunch rush.

The riverwalk even includes a touch of the Caribbean with the addition of The Island Party Hut.  Trees and island inspired decorations adorn the area while patrons enjoy a taste of the Caribbean in Chicago.

The renovations to the Chicago River’s south bank uprooted businesses. Urban Kayaks is among the veteran businesses that remain in the area. The kayaking company is seeing an increase in revenue since the improvements.

Renovations are scheduled to be complete by 2016.
