Laquon Treadwell waited until pick No. 23 to hear his name called in the 2016 NFL Draft. The opening night delay didn’t bother Treadwell, who was excited to finally be selected after a hectic and emotional week in his hometown.
The former suburban Chicago prep football star was taken by Minnesota, where he will team with Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson on offense.

In his senior season at Mississippi, Treadwell earned first-team All-SEC honors. He amassed more than 1100 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns — the same number he will wear for the reigning NFC North champions.
