In this special sports edition of “Chicago This Week,” we take a look at how Chicagoans are preparing for this year’s World Cup, despite their hometown not being a host city for this year’s global event. From Haiti and Brazil to Mexico and Algeria, we speak to local fans of this international sport.

“Chicago This Week” is an hourlong show featuring news, sports, business and entertainment stories from around Chicago. All the producing, reporting, writing, shooting and editing are done by Medill graduate students. “Chicago This Week” airs on CAN-TV, Ch. 21, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fridays and 7 p.m. Sundays.
